Our Three Year Old!

On Thursday, June 26, 2008 we celebrated Josh's 3rd birthday with a party at the Forney Fire Dept. We scheduled a tour with them and then we headed over to a local park to finish the cake and presents celebration. The fire department was lots of fun (despite the heat), and considering the Firemen on staff that evening had no idea we were coming. They forgot to tell them that we would be there. So, the put on the fire suit, showed the kids around the truck, let the kids play on the truck, and then blew the horns and turned on the lights for the kids. We then left the fire station and headed over to a park to eat pizza for dinner, cupcakes, and open presents. Josh got lots of neat things for his birthday including a drum set, a piano table, leap frog readers, Write and Learn, cars, and much more! Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful gifts!!!! The drumsticks for the drum had to be slept with that night, and since we've put up the piano, he almost never leaves it. Daddy was trying to light the candles and then Josh was only able to blow out one candle since the wind was blowing so much, but after blowing out the candle, Josh said "I need it for a minute" talking about the lighter. We all thought he was going to try and light the candles again. OH NO, he used it as a microphone to begin singing Happy Birthday to himself (video below). Everyone got a kick out of that!!! We all enjoyed the firetruck cupcakes (made by mommy of course).
