Big Boy Bed

Before we moved, we changed Nathan's bed into a toddler bed. Daddy was ready months ago to put him in the toddler bed, and Mommy was hesitant. Josh and Nathan share a room, and it is already hard enough to get them to stop talking to each other before going to sleep. Mommy was just sure they would end up going back and forth to each other's bed. So, one evening Mommy set in and decided we should give it a try. Daddy got to work immediately on switching the crib into a toddler bed. Nathan just walked around talking about his "new bed". He got in, settled in, and that was it. We told them that they would not be allowed to get out of their bed after they have been put into bed for bedtime. Much to Mommy's SURPRISE, they did very well, never got out of their beds (that night anyway), and Nathan has slept soundly since that evening. They also had a lot of fun helping Daddy with the "new bed". Now the fun is that when it's time for bedtime, Nathan has to get into Josh's bed first, and Josh has to climb into Nathan's bed, just for about 2 seconds and then it's off to their own beds. Nathan has a sleeping system down. He must have his small dog pillow under his head, his nite-nite in his arms or under his head, his covers over him, and his bear in his arms. Sometimes he wakes up and has this entire system in his arms ready for the day!
