Josh started Small Fry Soccer with the Kaufman County YMCA this past Saturday. He received a t-shirt and had lots of fun. It is geared where they do some soccer drills to teach them some skills, and then later they will begin doing some games, but just scrimmage games. They encourage you to cheer just as loud when a child kicks the ball into the wrong goal. "It's still a goal" they say. Josh was one of the youngest on his team. He did pretty good kicking the ball, but he wasn't real excited and even cried when it was time for someone to play defense and try and take they ball. When the other person came up and kicked the ball out from him, he cried saying "That's my soccer ball". He was very eager and said that it was his turn everytime. If you can see the picture of him with 3 other kids, this was taken because those 3 kids knew each other and the parents were trying to get pictures of them together. Well, Josh noticed they were taking a picture, and he decided to put him arm around the girl on the end and start smiling as well. You can see that they are all looking at him a little funny, but everyone thought it was so cute that he did that. He never likes to be in the camera with me. He's just a social kid!!!!! He didn't quite understand at first that you can't touch the soccer ball. A few of the kids did that. But after a while, they all got the hang of kicking it! In the video, you will see Josh kicking towards the goal, but he hits the post. If you listen carefully you can hear him say "I missed".
