Christmas 2007

We had a great Christmas. First, we celebrated in Palestine with Paw Paw's family. We both got some really cool presents. You will see from the pictures which presents we liked best. We returned home and Granma and Granddaddy came to see us that evening. Then Uncle Mark, Aunt Katherine, and Benjamin came to see us on Christmas Eve. We ate stromboli for dinner and then had a Birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. After that we decorated gingerbread men. Nathan missed out because he went to bed. But Josh had a great time, eating the pieces off his gingerbread man, or the M&M's out of the bowl.

Christmas Day Josh woke up to find a Little Tikes car under the tree. He immediately hopped in and began to drive. We all got dressed and the Griffith present opening began. Mommy and Daddy got lots of money to go shopping with (which is already mostly gone). Grandma and Granddaddy got us lots of books to add to our collection. We are already finding that some of these will become our favorites. Later in the day, we were taken outside to see our new swingset (well actually an older one that daddy fixed up, thanks Craigslist!!!) Benjamin was the first to try out the baby swing. He seemed to have a good time, so Nathan thought he would swing too. Surprisingly enough, the gift opening did not take all day as it has in the years past, although there were still plenty of gifts to be opened. We finished the opening around 3pm. Then it was time to begin Christmas Dinner. We had nice dinner around 7pm which included Gramma, Granddaddy, Mommy, Daddy, Josh, Nathan, Uncle Mark, Aunt Katherine, Cousin "Jenjamin", and Terry (our neighbor). Nathan got his first taste of turkey (thanks Terry) until he began to choke, but we were able to get it out. Nathan also got his first taste of crakers that day, but he didn't choke on those. You will find a post on our blog soon about the crackers with pictures and video. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

The day after Christmas we had some friends over for breakfast. It was Joshua and Benjamin. They were the sons of friends of Uncle Mark and Aunt Katherine. We played hard that morning and by afternoon, we were all tired. It was raining and cold, so Josh went outside with his new Elmo umbrella and hat and had a great time in the rain. The boys all had sweaters just alike, but we couldn't get a picture with all of them. Nathan and Benjamin decided that they didn't like sitting beside each other. Then Nathan decided he had enough and he was just going to drive away! He couldn't handle any more Christmas!
